Biking for the Family

Holmes County Rails-to-Trails is a paved recreation trail through scenic countryside. It accommodates bicyclists, pedestrians, horseback riders, and buggies. Fredericksburg to Killbuck is 15 miles of paved trail, and another 7.5 miles is paved from Glenmont to Brinkhaven. BYOB-it’s suggested that you bring your own bike.

Airport Ridge Sporting Clays is a leading facility with two courses featuring a variety of challenges for both novice and experienced shooters. Take in the rolling grasslands and woods of this beautiful location as you put your skills to the test at up to 30 different stations.

Nestled in the hills of Holmes County, Fire Ridge Golf Course is a scenic, 18-hole course featuring well-maintained greens and fairways, as well as the clubhouse. It is designed for golfers of all skill-levels to enjoy.

Trip Trivia

Our Rails-to-Trails follows the Killbuck Marsh area. Did you know that this marsh is the second largest in Ohio, after the Lake Erie region? You can see herons, muskrats, or bald eagles near the marsh on any given day

Escape to the Countryside

Take your RV, tent or both to the quiet setting at Timbercrest Camp and RV Park. White there, enjoy nature trails and activities for the whole family, or venture out to explore the many nearby attractions.

Evergreen RV Park Resort is in the heart of Amish Country and is open year-round. Mohican State Park borders the Amish Country area to the west. In addition to fun hikes and small waterfalls, it also offers fishing areas, bridle and bike trails, canoeing, tubing, and camping.

Did you know that Millersburg Brewing Company has awesome food? Sample one of their 20 brews on tap and sit down for a snack or meal. The Brewery has a relaxed atmosphere where you can rest and regroup. They often feature live music on weekends as well as current sporting events.

Pizza and Ice Cream

Fox’s Pizza Den makes the freshest, most delicious pizza, specialty hoagies, and mouth-watering sides every day for their customers. They are conveniently located next to the Rails-to-Trails in Millersburg, and serve hand-dipped ice cream if your family just needs a tasty treat. Delivery is available in the Millersburg area.

Amish Dinner and Shops

Amish Door Restaurant and Village is located away from the hustle and bustle. They feature an excellent restaurant with traditional Amish fare, bakery, shops, and inn. Amish Door also features events and dinner shows, so check their schedule. Try their popular broasted chicken, and stay for a show.
