“Authentically Amish” – Learn about the history and culture of the Amish people. 

  • Behalt Amish Mennonite Heritage Center: Offering a stunning 265-ft circular mural depicting Amish and Mennonite heritage, plus video, displays. Featuring a Conestoga wagon, one-room schoolhouse, bookstore, gift shop, and local crafts.
  • Yoder’s Amish Home: Offering guided seasonal tours of two Amish homes and barn. Amish buggy rides are available.
  • Weaver’s Home Cooking: Enjoy a home cooked meal in an Amish home for groups of six or larger, by reservation. Call (234) 249-8813
  • Book a backroads tour with one of our local tour operators. Enjoy a behind the scenes experience with a local tour guide.


 

“Meet The Makers” – Explore artisan workshops in Ohio Amish Country and discover what truly makes the area unique.  

  • Coblentz Leather: Shop quality leather products, enjoy viewing the craftsman process through the workshop’s viewing window, showcasing the Coblentz excellence and tradition of craftsmanship passed down through generations.
  • Heini’s Cheese Chalet: Enjoy watching the art of cheese making, then enjoy a wide variety of free cheese samples and stock up on your favorites.  Call ahead for cheese production times. Currently TUES & FRI. 9A-1P Store hours MON-SAT 9A-6P, SUN 9A-2P.
  • Coblentz Chocolates: The store in Walnut Creek is like stepping back in time to an old-fashioned candy store, with well-stocked counters of tempting morsels, featuring a viewing gallery into the production area where visitors can watch delicious confections being created.
  • David Warther Carvings & Gifts: David Warther carves in his on-site workshop every day creating his intricate artwork of antique ivory, ebony wood and abalone pearl. The exhibit now displays 95 of his fascinating miniature carvings where guided tours run continuously.


 

“Family Friendly Destinations” -whether traveling with immediate family or a large reunion, these destinations offer fun for all ages and all group sizes.

  • Hershberger’s Farm & Bakery: Feed the barnyard animals, shop the bakery and explore the gift shop for handcrafted items.  Buggy rides are available to tour the property.
  • The Farm at Walnut Creek : A truly unforgettable destination, tour the working farm and animal park. Take the horse-drawn wagon ride or drive-through tour to see and hand-feed over 600 domestic and exotic animals, including giraffes. Visit the nonelectric Amish farmhouse as staff demonstrates baking, canning, and sewing.
  • Country Acres Mini Golf: Miniature golf, MAJOR fun! With TWO exciting country-themed miniature golf courses located in the heart of Berin.
  • Age of Steam Roundhouse: The guided tour includes an 18-stall, accurately reconstructed brick roundhouse, featuring the largest private collection of steam locomotives in the world and a fully functioning, workshop used for restorations. 
  • Baylor Beach Park: Family & Senior friendly park near Amish Country & The Pro-Football HOF. Treated swimming lake with slides, log rolls and fountains, water boat rides, gem mine, and mini-golf. Campsites available.
  • Historic Roscoe Village: Adventure back to a 19th-century canal-era village, brought to life today. Watch sparks fly in the Blacksmith Shop. See the looms in motion. Ride the canal boat. Explore shops and enjoy dining throughout the village. Open Monday-Sunday, see specific store hours.
  • Amish Country Theater: The Amish Country Theater in Berlin, Ohio, is a rib ticklin', knee slappin', side-splittin' comedy adventure for the whole family!
  • Ohio Star Theater: Enjoy wholesome, family-friendly entertainment in Ohio’s Amish Country. From Broadway-style musicals and comedy acts to inspiring concerts, there’s something for everyone.
