Holmes County is home to three key information centers that serve both visitors and residents. The primary location is the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau, which provides central tourism information. Additionally, Behalt – The Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center serves as the eastern information center, showcasing the history and culture of the Amish and Mennonite communities.
To further assist visitors, the Tourism Bureau operates an information booth inside the Walnut Creek Marketplace, offering maps and brochures on the area. Information and Visitors Centers like these are designed to enhance the travel experience by providing essential resources such as local guides, event details, and tips on attractions, ensuring a well-informed and enjoyable visit to Holmes County, Ohio Amish Country.

Behalt – Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center was established in 1981 under the name Mennonite Information Center. It now serves as the Eastern Information Center, dedicated to educating visitors about the faith, culture and lifestyle of the Amish, Mennonite, and Hutterite people.
