About This Event

The 250 Buckeye Train offers a special rail excursion celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, inspired by the 1976 Bicentennial Freedom Train. Passengers will travel from Columbus, Ohio, along the historic Pennsylvania Railroad Panhandle Line to the AM250-Ohio Transportation Celebration in Dennison on April 25–26, 2026. The trip honors the golden age of railroads, when this route carried heavy passenger traffic and served as a key link between New York and St. Louis. Riders will journey in vintage passenger cars pulled by Ohio Central Railroad diesel engines, passing scenic countryside and small towns while following a route once traveled by presidents, celebrities, circus trains, and troop trains.
