Day One of Fun

Wine Hop

Ugly Bunny Winery features estate and Ohio-sourced wines for every palate, from sweet red "Down the Rabbit Hole" to bourbon barrel-aged "1814-Founders Reserve." Sit on the deck and enjoy a glass of wine while looking at the vineyards or listen inside to live musicians. Their kitchen prepares tasty tapas and treats. They are located just east of Loudonville, and are convenient to Mohican State Park and Amish Country.

Unique Artisan

Holmes County Pottery displays and sells Handmade pottery thrown on the potter’s wheel with Ohio clay and fired in a 400 cubic foot wood-burning kiln. They make functional pottery for the home and garden, and pieces range from tableware and baking dishes to planters. The works are beautiful and functional additions to daily life.

Pick-Your-Own Fruit

Enjoy together time and the delicious berries. Moreland Fruit Farm is a pick-your-own farm and market. Mouth-watering strawberries ripen the first of June, followed by blueberries and black raspberries. Blackberries and grapes become ripe in July and August. Finally, apples and pumpkins are available during the fall harvest months. The Farm even offers horse drawn wagon rides to the pumpkin fields, so come back with the kids!

How about a little romantic seclusion? Ferngully Creek Cabins offer luxury in the woods that’s still close to local attractions. Amenities include king-sized beds, Jacuzzi, fireplace, full kitchen, screened-in porch, grill, and campfire ring with firewood. You’ll be just moments from Millersburg and Berlin as you let the stress melt away.

You will find fun and flavor at Sunny Slope Winery. They create small batch handcrafted wines and also offer made-to-order sandwiches and snacks from their deli. Every Friday and Saturday features live music from 6-9 p m. with no cover charge.

Wine with a View

Visit Doughty Glen’s award-winning winery, located in Guggisberg Swiss Inn. Sample delicious wines while watching the horses graze the hillside. They offer live entertainment most Friday evenings April through October. Perfect quiet location, and you can relax together on their outdoor deck.

Art and Nature

The Holmes County Open Air Art Museum is a fusion of art and nature set in a gorgeous wooded landscape. Spread throughout the grounds of The Inn at Honey Run, the region's only open air art museum showcases original works from regional artists of various backgrounds, mediums and disciplines. Enjoy a stroll together taking in birdsongs and beauty. The Inn at Honey Run also offers luxurious accommodations, and even features in-ground honeycomb rooms.
