Brooks and Kathleen Harris had an impact for many years on the history of Holmes Co. Active members of the Historical Society for many years and author of the Holmes Co. Historical Sketchbook, the Harris's left their mark and touched many students’ lives. They both were teachers at West Holmes High School for many years. Brooks was a history teacher, athletic director and coach. His baseball team went to state in 1966 and many of the original team are planning to attend the program. Kathleen was girls phys.ed and home economics teacher. With the recent passing of Brooks last November, the society decided to put together a program called "A Walk Back in Time/The Memories of Brooks and Kathleen Harris" to be presented on Thurs. May 16th at the Duncan Theater from 7:00-9:00pm. A brief history will be presented by presenters Mark Boley, Bob Porter and Lyle Gray followed by audience participation on how the Harris's impacted their lives. The program is free but donations will be accepted and split with the Holmes Co. Historical Society and Killbuck Valley Museum.
