The Farm at Walnut Creek will greet you this winter, ready to go with a sleigh full of warm blankets. Rides, available by appointment only, include a scenic view of the breathtaking 120 acres of rolling hills, as well as plenty of bison, elk, deer and yak to spot along the way and maybe even feed. At least three inches of snow are required for rides to take place.
Sleigh rides are offered through a waiting list at the Amish Country Riding Stables of the Guggisberg Swiss Inn. To warm up afterwards, come inside the Inn to enjoy hot cocoa and freshly popped popcorn by the fireplace. Four inches of snow and a frozen ground underneath are required for the sleigh to be taken out. To be put on the waiting list, contact the Stables at the Guggisberg Swiss Inn. Guests of the Inn receive a discount.
Sleigh ride availability depends on snow accumulation and weather. All rides require reservations.
Call the Farm at Walnut Creek at 330-893-4200 and Guggisberg Swiss Inn at 330-893-3600 to check on snow conditions and availability.
