Holmes County is the ultimate destination for reminding you of the true meaning behind Christmas.
To begin your journey, visit the live Nativity Parade in Berlin on November 23. Hosted by the Berlin Main Street Merchants, this parade will feature a live Mary and Joseph, live animals, shepherds, wise men, carolers, and more.
The parade will begin at 5:45 at the Village Gift Barn and the procession will end with the reading of a Christmas story at the square. The parade will be followed by a candle lighting service and caroling. Samaritans Purse and Operation Christmas Child will provide coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies for a donation. For more information about the parade visit the event’s Facebook page.
Continue your time travels in Sugarcreek by experiencing the Walnut Creek Journey to Bethlehem on November 30 and December 1. Here, participants can experience the sights and sounds of Bethlehem just as Mary and Joseph would have by registering for taxation, exploring the Bethlehem marketplace, and meeting several Biblical characters.
Begin your journey to Bethlehem at the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church where you can register for the event and receive a map of all the stops. Admission to this event is free! For more information visit the official Amish Country website.
