Grab your clubs and tee up on one of the many courses in Amish Country.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Millersburg, Fire Ridge Golf Course offers a fair but challenging game to golfers of all skill levels. The front nine is an open layout that proves forgiving--until you make the turn and continue to the back nine, where it turns into a placement course. While the yardage is shorter on the back, it is more difficult because of blind spots.
Willandale Golf in Sugarcreek offers 27 holes strategically blended together to allow for play on nine, 18 or all 27. Covering over 166 acres, this course has many ponds and bunkers to avoid. Ten acres of wetlands sit on this course, and it comes into play on holes 3,4 and 14. After you’ve completed your final hole, relax in the newly renovated clubhouse.
For some family fun, head over to Cabin Creek Mini Golfin Sugarcreek. They offer two 18-hole mini golf courses, each presenting a different challenge. Watch out for the four bridges and the many water features throughout. Those not looking to conquer a whole course can head over to the batting cages, shuffleboard, driving range and sand volleyball for more outdoor fun.
