Ohio Star Theater Season Opens

Ohio Star Theater Season Opens

March 16, 2017

The season for the new facility starts April 1 with a sold-out Guy Penrod show. Click here to see the whole season and order tickets.

This new 512-seat theater includes state-of-the-art sound and acoustics and will replace the 187-seat conference center that had previously been used as a dramatic space.

Dutchman Hospitality previously had developed its conference center into a staged area where it held five seasons of musical and theater performances. These performances turned out to be so popular that plans were put in place for an actual theater, and ground was broken last summer. There has been growing interest in Amish Country for evening entertainment—something to see and do after shopping, eating and touring the region.

Due to the success of those five seasons, Ohio Star (named for the famous Amish quilt pattern) was built. The staff will continue to bring in popular, traditionally based concerts, and work with Nashville's Blue Gate Musicals for Broadway-caliber musicals on Amish themes and settings, which Blue Gate Musicals is known for producing.

Ohio Star will also be available for special events.
